2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Preview
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL is an all-electric luxury with a 460-mile range, 750 hp, and advanced tech. More space, Super Cruise™, and bidirectional charging redefine the full-size SUV.

Cadillac is expanding its flagship SUV lineup with an all-electric 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL, a longer and roomier version of the recently revealed Escalade IQ. This addition maintains the high-tech interior and flashy styling, and the size of this massive vehicle will leave a commanding presence on the road. Cadillac estimates that the IQL will offer a 460-mile range at a full charge despite its size.
With three rows of seating, a premium Executive Second Row package, a 750-horsepower dual motor powertrain, and a competitive range, the IQL will stand out in the luxury electric SUV segment. Production is set to begin in mid-2025 at General Motors' Factory ZERO in Detroit. The price will start at $132,695.
2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Exterior

For years, the Cadillac Escalade has essentially been the pinnacle of class for gangsters and soccer moms alike. The 2026 Escalade IQL will surely have a similar effect, mirroring the design language we currently see on the Celestiq and Lyriq but on a larger scale. In my opinion, Cadillac creates the most attractive grille on the electric vehicle market today. It's illuminated, makes a statement, and belongs in a modern art museum. The sabertooth-style LED headlights add to the overall elegance of the SUV. Under the hood is a large eTrunk, providing 12.2 cubic feet of additional storage.
2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Interior

Luxury and space define the 2026 Escalade IQL's interior, with an opulent and spacious cabin. Quilted leather seats, a massive 55-inch pillar-to-pillar curved display, and wood accents set the tone for the rest of the SUV. With the longer body, there is now more room than in the Escalade IQ.
The optional Executive Second Row package features tray tables, 12.6-inch personal screens, a rear command center, dual wireless phone chargers, massage seats, and headrest speakers. The standard power-folding third row offers flexible cargo solutions.
2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Specs
Let's face it: electric vehicles have won the war on speed. They're fast, heavy, and take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of driving an EV, they are deliciously fun to drive around town or on the highway. The 2026 Escalade IQL takes the smooth handling Cadillac is known for and combines it with its all-electric powertrain's powerful performance and speed.
Performance specs at a glance:
- 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque (with driver-selectable Velocity Max mode)
- 205 kWh battery

- Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension for refined handling

- 116 miles in 10 minutes with a fast charger
2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Safety and Technology

The Escalade IQL is packed with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring a connected, safe, and entertaining ride. The 55-inch digital display, Super Cruise™ hands-free driving standard on all trim levels, and high-fidelity AKG sound system contribute to an elevated driving experience.
The advanced safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and 360-degree cameras, ensuring that drivers and passengers are always protected. Cadillac's isolated precision ride philosophy ensures a quiet and smooth drive.
2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Competitors
As Cadillac's largest all-electric SUV, the 2026 Escalade IQL enters a growing luxury electric SUV market. Some of its competitors include the GMC Hummer EV, Lucid Gravity, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, Rivian R1S, and Tesla Model X.
With its competitive range, unmatched luxury, and spacious cabin, the Escalade IQL stands out in the crowded segment. But the question that begs to be asked right now is, is there still an audience for a luxury electric three-row SUV that starts at $132,695? I'm not too sure. There has been an overall decline in demand for electric cars and a significant shift in the price consumers are willing to pay for a vehicle. Time will tell, but I predict this beautiful behemoth won't sell well.
