The Cadillac CT5, in the desert, its natural habitat.

The Cadillac CT5 is a well-balanced midsize luxury sedan that was first introduced in 2019. It competes with the BMW M550i xDrive, Mercedes-Benz E450 4MATIC, and the Audi S6 Quattro. The CT5 is a stylish and well-equipped car that offers a comfortable ride and a variety of features that make it a great choice for everyday driving.

There are two different engine choices for the CT5: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. The base model comes with a 237-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which produces 258 lb-ft of torque. If you want more power, you can upgrade to the twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which produces 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

While both engines are plenty powerful, the four-cylinder engine doesn't quite deliver its power to the road as effectively as the V6 engine. The four-cylinder is adequate for most driving situations, but it can feel a little sluggish when passing or merging onto the highway. That's why I would suggest upgrading to the V6 engine, which provides the kick-in-the-pants power you would expect from a sports sedan.

Cadillac has been synonymous with excellent ride quality and comfort for decades, which is evident when stepping inside the CT5. The suspension is tuned for comfort and absorbs bumps and imperfections on the road, while still providing a sporty feel. The seats are incredibly comfortable and supportive, and the cabin has plenty of leg and headroom.

The CT5 is well-equipped, even in base form. Standard features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Bose sound system. Available features include a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.

The CT5 is priced competitively with other luxury midsize sedans, and it offers a long list of standard features.

Overall, the Cadillac CT5 is a great daily driver for luxury lovers. It's stylish, comfortable, and well-equipped. The CT5 is not the most exciting car to drive, but it is a good choice for those who are looking for a comfortable and luxurious car that can be used for everyday driving.
